More and more hotels and guest houses are also working to make their properties more dog-friendly so that you can enjoy a relaxing stay with all that you need for your four-legged friend!

Bellinter House, County Meath

Bellinter House is a countryside retreat offering you the comfort and elegance of a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the Boyne Valley. Dogs are welcome to stay in the Stable rooms which are gorgeous, the Stable rooms all have wooden beams, big skylights, and stable doors, in keeping with their previous function, and open out onto a beautiful courtyard.  Your dog will feel at home, with lots of space to bring them for walks and enjoy the country scenery.

 

Castle Leslie Estate, County Monaghan

Set within a picturesque cut-stone courtyard and surrounded by ancient woodlands, The Old Stable Mews is a self-catering property on the estate. Situated a fifteen minute walk or a short drive through the estate to the Castle and the Lodge, this old coach house has been fully restored and refurbished. Many of the Old Stable Mews are suitable for dogs, offering acres of space, secluded paths and forestry trails.

Dromhall Hotel, County Kerry

With acres of untouched parklands a stone throw from the hotel this is truly doggy heaven, the ideal Killarney accommodation for you and your dog. Dromoland Castle, County Clare

Dromoland Castle has been welcoming guests since the 16th century on a 450-acre estate. With lavish decor, indulgent dining, fabulous views and magnificent bedrooms, this is a place to feel at home - including your doggy pal! The castle has a number of rooms suitable for canine companions to relax in luxury and plenty of room to roam.

 

Dylan Hotel, County Dublin

Pet friendly hotels in Dublin are not in abundance, however the stylish Dylan Hotel on Dublin's south side is dog-friendly. They have designed a program of amenities and services to ensure its four-legged guests feel right at home, including pet beds, treats and water dishes.

 

O'Shea's Hotel, County Waterford

O’Shea's Hotel is located in the seaside town of Tramore only a short stroll from the beach and just outside of Waterford city. It is also a dog-friendly property that is perfectly situated for long walks with amazing coastal views.

 

Randles Hotel, County Kerry

Randles Hotel offers 4-star accommodation ideally located just a 5-minute walk from Killarney town centre and they have been welcoming guests since 1906. They welcome all guests including dogs and with an abundance of landscape nearby in the Kingdom, there are plenty of places for walks with incredible scenery.

 

Rathsallagh House, County Wicklow

Rathsallagh House is a country house set in 530 acres of peaceful parkland with its own walled garden on the Wicklow-Kildare border. Although dogs are not permitted in guest rooms, the property has a number of heated kennels near the courtyard rooms so that you can bring your dog along for the fun and explore the surroundings.

 

Renvyle House Hotel, County Galway

This 4-star family-owned, historic country house resort first opened as a hotel in 1883 and it is located on a 150-acre estate on the shores of the Wild Atlantic Way in Connemara. They have allocated a number of their rooms as dog-friendly so that guests can check in with their dogs.

 

The Ardilaun Hotel & Leisure Club, County Galway

Formerly a country mansion, the 4-star Ardilaun Hotel boasts luxury accommodation just outside of Galway city celebrating over 60 years in business. It was also named Pet-Friendly Destination of the Year in the Georgina Campbell’s Ireland Awards 2020 for their excellent service to puppy pals! The Garden Rooms are allocated for stays with dogs as they have a patio and garden area that gives them plenty of space.

 

The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens, County Kerry

The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens is a 64-acre estate near the magical Gap of Dunloe and showcases an extraordinary arboretum that leads on to the hidden ruins of the 13th century Dunloe Castle. They also cater to doggy guests and have both pet-friendly rooms and kennels to suit all dogs. Not only that, but you will be given a welcome pack full of goodies for your dog including a toy, treats and clean-up bags.

 

The Twelve Hotel, County Galway
