- Posted on: 31/05/2018 - $itemValue.title

It’s a long summer, so why not do something different? Good at haggling or willing to try? Then why not check out an Irish Market?

Here are samples of some of the best markets in Ireland –

Dublin Flea Market

This takes place on the last Sunday of every month and has become an alternative institution in the city. This is a non-profit enterprise where you will find everything from vintage clothes to retro furniture, old vinyl, second-hand bikes, wacky bric-a-brac, and top-notch coffee spread over 60 stalls with a killer brunch. The monthly market takes place at the indoor Co-op on Newmarket Square (Dublin 8), with DJs, live bands among the entertainment seen to keep folks happy.

English Market, Cork
This market dates back to 1788 and was created by an English Corporation that controlled the city at the time. Cork prides itself on being a culinary capital and this marvel of a market is a jewel in the crown.

The Queen of England visited in 2011 and met Pat O’Connell, a fishmonger and enjoyed a chuckle. This shot displayed the market as a vibrant market and the spirit of Cork city showing the range of meats, cheese and fish available. You will also find amazing fudge, olives and cheese here. Beware the aisle are very narrow so pick your moment. Perhaps waiting in the Farmgate Café where you will find amazingly good food.
