About The Strand Guesthouse
Situated on the seafront in Kilkee, one of the most westerly seaside resorts in Europe. Kilkee is built around a 1.5km beach, considered one of the best and safest bathing places in the west with breathtaking coastal walks. The Strand makes an ideal touring base - visit The Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Ailwee Caves. For golf enthusiasts there is a local 18 hole course, Kilrush 13km, Doonbeg 13km, Lahinch 42km or Ballybunion 40km (via car ferry). Restaurant fully licensed, specialises in local seafood.

The Strand Restaurant (Dining Area) The tradition of catering, which had been established prior to 1842, has been carried on by generations of the same family and is continued today by the Redmond's, who recently purchased the Restaurant and Guest House section of "The Strand" from the previous owners: uncle Donal McMahon and his wife, Claire.
