About Castle Grove Country House Hotel

Castle Grove is a 17th century country house set on its own rolling estate overlooking Lough Swilly. Its bedrooms are spacious and with all modern facilities. Downstairs in both drawing room and library you find a perfect blend of old and new. The dining room offers excellent cuisine, much of its produce from the Walled Garden. To the discerning guest Castle Grove has to be visited to be appreciated. While here you can fish, golf, or simply enjoy the locality. This house may be exclusively booked for family or business functions.

All bedrooms are en–suite and individually decorated whilst retaining the elegance of the house with all of its Georgian features and antiques.

Location

From Dublin take the N2 and A5 through Northern Ireland which is approximately a 3.5 hour journey.

From Belfast take the A6 which is approximately a 2 hour journey.

From Letterkenny follow the signs to Rathmelton and for approximately 2.5 miles follow the signs to Castle Grove.

Restaurant: Castle Grove restaurant offers excellent cuisine that is prepared with dedication and care by our award winning chef, and served by discreet and friendly staff. The restaurant provides the very best of good Irish food including fish fresh from the sea, tender juicy roasts and vegetables fresh from the hotel garden, all cooked with care and attractively presented and accompanied with an extensive wine list. All in all this entire experience that is Castle Grove is a "must" when in Donegal.

Conferences/Private Dining: Private dining is available for lunch and dinner parties or for a working lunch. We offer a variety of options i.e.. two or three courses or the full Table D'hote menu. An extensive wine list by the glass is also available.

Small conference facilities are available for 12 / 15 people, an ideal location for that residential board–meeting or simply an out of house weekend meeting.

Gardens: The extensive gardens were designed by Lancelot "Capability" Brown, one of the few in Ireland. They offer that charm and seclusion that one expects to find at the end of a mile long avenue.
