From Galway, follow all signs to Clifden, N59 road. On entering Clifden the Clifden Station House is located conveniently in the town, on the left hand side, opposite the Fire Station.

Dining at the Clifden Station House Hotel is an experience you will want to write home about.  With our Head Chef John O’Toole cooking up a storm in the kitchen and the great, friendly hospitality of our staff it is no wonder we are winning awards.

John O’Toole uses nothing but the finest, freshest ingredients and keeps a focus on local produce to ensure quality of a high standard.  Devour any dish from a mouth-watering menu which is carefully put together with an emphasis of giving the guest more choice of quality dishes.  If you choose to dine with us in the Hotel Dining Room you won’t be disappointed with high standards in food and service. 

Station House Bar

Located in the centre of the Clifden Station House Courtyard is the restored original Station Masters House and train platform. This atmospheric building with much of the original railway memorabilia is now a lively bar serving food all day and providing live entertainment at night and weekends.

Leisure Centre

Attached to the Clifden Station House is our Award Winning Leisure Centre.  It has been awarded the White Flag for excellence in Hygiene by I.L.A.M, for every consecutive year since 1999.   

Our indoor pool is heated to 29 degrees for your enjoyment with a separate paddling pool for kiddies attached.  Our pool deck area also features a Swedish 10 seat steam room, purpose built sauna and a Jacuzzi to melt away all those aches and pains.  We hope to welcome you to our Leisure Centre and make your stay at the Clifden Station House even more memorable.
 
Our fully equipped gymnasium contains a range of cardiovascular and resistance training machines which cater for the novice right through to the most experienced gym users.

Kids Club

Our Railways Children’s Club will delight and excite our younger guests, giving you their parents, an opportunity to relax or browse through our diverse shopping complex.  Our kids Club runs during July & August, and School Breaks.

The Clifden Station House also has the added bonus of 4-star self-catering apartments are located in the courtyard of the hotel and are the ideal choice if you want to holiday in the area.  Choose from two or three bedroom suites.  Built to luxury 4-star standard, each suite is self-contained and has every modern convenience:

The apartments are available to rent all year round, on a weekly or short-term basis (July & August Saturday to Saturday, weekly lets only).  An added luxury is that you can enjoy full use of the hotel and its leisure facilities while staying in our self-catering accommodation.  Retreat and relax in you own suite, unwind and when revived, discover the treasures of the Clifden Station House, explore the town of Clifden and experience the beauty of Connemara and the Atlantic Ocean.
