Originally built in 1845, this Victorian hotel's ground floor was extensively renovated in 2007. Best address in town, overlooking Eyre Square, the Hotel Meyrick, formerly the Great Southern Hotel, is a stylish combination of old world features and modern luxuries. Its 97 guest rooms offer a range of executive rooms, junior and senior suites. The award-winning Oyster Bar & Grill Restaurant has an extensive menu. There are 99 luxurious bedrooms at the Hotel Meyrick, many with views onto Eyre Square. The corridors in the main part of the building are extremely wide, designed in the Victorian Era to allow two ladies in hooped dresses to pass each other; today they have been elegantly restored with marble and rich rugs, leading you on to luxurious guest rooms. Choose from our standard bedrooms to our luxurious suites located on the fifth level with pananormic views of Galway Bay or Eyre Square..All rooms offer complimentary internet access, tea/coffee making facilites , ensuite bathrooms, trouser press, hairdryer, laundry service & 24 hour room service

All major tour buses depart  a 1 minute walk from the hotel to exlpore Connemara or the Cliffs of Moher
