Situated just off the N59, 24kms from Galway City and within 2-4 km of Oughterard, with the Connemara mountains in the distance and Lough Corrib nearby. Leisure activities include; golf at the renowned Oughterard Golf Club, established walks along scenic routes, boating or fishing on Lough Corrib. Mountain View Guesthouse is set in mature gardens in a quiet location, just 200 metres off the N59 road adjacent to Oughterard Golf club. We are located 5 km from Roscahill and just under 4 km before the village of Oughterard.

It is an ideal base for touring Connemara and the Burren and is just a 25 minute drive from Galway city. Activities include – Fishing in the famous Lough Corrib. Golfing in Oughterard Golf club or any of the three championship golf courses which are within an hours drive. Walking in the area or the famous Western Way through the Connemara hills. Pony treking. Boat trips on Lough Corrib. Visit to the Aran islands. For those wishing to relax Mountain View has a large garden for guests use.
