Renvyle House Hotel has 68 bedrooms, suites and family suites. Almost every room enjoys spectacular views of the mountains, the Atlantic Ocean and the islands beyond. The sun rising over the mountains and sea to the east or setting over the islands and sea to the west are views of regular and exceptional beauty. All rooms are ensuite with bath and shower, remote control TV, direct dial telephone and are well appointed and comfortable. Some of our bedrooms still have turf fires. The restful colour schemes reflect the beautiful surroundings and cater to your every need.

Irish beef, Connemara lamb and game dishes feature alongside seafood dishes using fresh fish caught daily off our shores. Sightseeing > Connemara National Park, Letterfrack: The Connemara National Park is situated 10 minutes drive from Renvyle House Hotel. It provides a unique opportunity to view the flora and fauna and boglands of Connemara at first hand. The centre has a very helpful information desk and staff are very knowledgeable on the Park and will help you with any questions you might have. In the centre itself you can view an exhibition on the Connemara landscape, a 3-D exhibition on the boglands, flora and fauna. There is an Audio Visual show on the park every half an hour and also self-guided nature trails, booklets, maps multimedia information. There are nature days held for children during the Summer months with games, art and storytelling. There are also morning guided walks and interesting evening talks covering areas such as Connemara ponies, birds of the west of Ireland, butterflies and moths and the Great Famine. Kylemore Abbey > Only a 12 minute drive from Renvyle House Hotel, Kylemore is the home of the Benedictine Nuns and stands at the edge of the lake surrounded by woodlands. The Gothic castle was built in 1865 by Mitchell Henry, an English businessman, for his wife. After the tragic death of his wife he lost interest in the estate and it was bought by the Benedictine Nuns when they fled their convent in Ypres during the 1st World War. Open to the public are the Victorian Walled Gardens, the Gothic Chapel, part of the Abbey and a beautiful craft shop. Ocean's Alive and Connemara Sea Leisure > A unique visitor centre experience. Rain or shine there's something for everybody. Sea life exhibits, local maritime history, old days old ways exhibitions, seaside park and picnic area, scenic and wildlife coastal cruises and sea angling trips and Sunday afternoon specials, traditional Irish music sessions on board the boat from 3-5pm. The centre is Situated at Ballinakill Harbour, home to grey seals, otters and porpoises, about 5 miles from Renvyle House Hotel. Walking > Micheal Gibbon's Connemara Walks: Michael's knowledge of the area, combined with his intimate knowledge of the landscape means that every walk will be a treasure trove of history and information. Walkers of all abilities will be exhilarated by the sheer beauty and tranquility of Connemara. The Walking Centre is based in Clifden, 12 miles from Renvyle House Hotel. Sea Cruises > Killary Harbour Cruise: A beautiful cruise in Killary Harbour, only 15 minutes drive from Renvyle House Hotel, on the "Connemara Lady" is a must. Recognised as Ireland's only fjord, this 9 mile inlet shows off some of the foremost scenery in the West of Ireland. The "Connemara Lady" can accommodate up to 132 passengers and is designed to offer a maximum of comfort and safety to it guests. Scubadiving > Scubadive West: This is Ireland's most perfectly located dive centre with diving guaranteed all year round. Located on the sheltered Killary fjord it is divided by high mountains on either side and has a depth of 40m in the middle. It is washed by the mild Gulf Stream which brings with it an abundance of colourful marine life. Scubadive West is a full PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) school and provide activities and courses for both beginners and the more advanced diver. The centre is located 15 minute from Renvyle House Hotel. Golf > Connemara Golf Club is about a 40 minute drive from Renvyle House Hotel. The golf course is on the Mannin Peninsula, west of Ballyconneely. Situated in an area of outstanding beauty renowned for its scenery, it is a full-blooded links course with none of the duneland features of its north Connaught neighbours. It is a course picked meticulously out of a granite-splashed seaside that has all the hallmarks of the great Hackett course that it undoubtedly is. It is an 18 hole golf course, Par 72.
