This family-run hotel has 46 luxurious bedrooms (23 newly built), restaurant, bar and a recently built state of the art conference centre. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens it is ideal for your perfect wedding location. Already well established as a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the friendly and professional staff will look after your every need.

At the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel it is our priority to ensure your stay is a memorable one. Each of the 46 exquisite en–suite bedrooms is equipped and furnished to ensure maximum guest comfort and enjoyment. The superbly appointed bedrooms perfectly compliment the warm ambience permeating throughout our hotel, ensuring all our visitors have a comfortable, tranquil and thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Location

Abbeyleix Manor Hotel is located in Co Laois in the heart of Ireland, making it one of the most accessible properties in the country. It is situated right on the N8, the main Dublin to Cork Road, with ample free parking.

Travelling from Dublin or Limerick, follow the motorway exit sign for Cork and continue for 9 miles into the Heritage Town of Abbeyleix. Go straight through the town, keeping on main street. As you begin to exit Abbeyleix, we are the last property on the left hand side.

Travelling from Cork, the hotel is on the right hand side of the road, the very first property you encounter as you arrive in Abbeyleix.

Travelling from Kilkenny or Waterford, exit Kilkenny City on the N77 Castlecomer Road, turning left after approx 3 miles, staying on the N77 towards Ballyraggett. Continue through Ballyraggett until you reach the town of Durrow, where you make a right turn onto the main N8 Cork–Dublin Road. Stay on this for 5 miles until you arrive at Abbeyleix – the hotel is the very first property on the right hand side as you begin to enter the town.

Travelling From the Ferryport of Rosslare, drive to Wexford Town via the N25. Then take the the N11 into Enniscorthy, staying on that road after you leave town in the direction of Dublin, before turning left after approx 3 miles onto the N80. Go through Bunclody and continue on into Carlow Town. Follow the ring–road, taking the Abbeyleix exit at the very last roundabout. Stay on the R430, following all signs for Abbeyleix until you reach the traffic lights on Abbeyleix' Main Street. Turn left and continue to the end of town – the hotel is the last property on the left–hand side.

The hotel is easily recognised by the presence of two beautiful wire sculptured deer (by the renowned artist Rupert Till) located in front of the hotel, adjacent to the main road. When you see the deer, you've found it!

Dining: The hotel has a friendly bar serving carvery lunch and a tasty selection of light meals throughout the day. Our evening A La Carte menu has individually prepared dishes featuring fresh local and seasonal produce. For fine dining, spend the evening in the intimate Knaptons Restaurant.

To end your day enjoy drinks in The Manor bar with either a full dinner or a late supper served until 9:30pm. On sultry summer nights enjoy al’ fresco on the terrace and take in the sunset.

Note: Guests staying on bed, breakfast and dinner package will enjoy dinner in our cosy manor bistro bar and choose from an a la carte menu.

Golf: Abbeyleix Manor Hotel is ideally located for the dedicated golfer, with many exquisite courses reachable in under half an hour. Green Fees range from ¤25 – ¤50 depending on where you choose to go, and whether you wish to play midweek or at the weekend. Abbeyleix has its own delightful 18–hole course which is quickly developing a reputation for itself as one of the best in the midlands.

Conferencing: The Abbeyleix Manor Hotel is fast becoming THE conference venue in the midlands. It is ideally located in Laois in the heart of Ireland and directly on the N8 Dublin to Cork route. Our central location offers ease of access to delegates travelling from anywhere in the country. We take pleasure in catering for groups of all sizes; from small intimate meetings to large groups of up to 300 delegates, and everything in the middle! Just ask, and we'll move mountains to try and accomodate you.

With the assistance and ample experience of our dedicated wedding co–ordinator Eileen O’Connor, we will leave no stone unturned to ensure your special day is a spectacular success.

On arrival, any reservations guaranteed by credit card, will be asked for pre authorisation of their card or full payment by cash.  If charging facilities are required during your stay a further deposit is required.
