This fine Regency period house is set in 36 acres of grounds and filled with antiques. The Bowe family opened its doors to guests in 1978 and has maintained an outstanding reputation for food, comfort and service ever since. The 20 bedrooms are filled with antiques, paintings and flowers and all have marble bathrooms. There are six sumptuous state rooms overlooking the lake. Restaurant: The reputation of Marlfield was built on its food much of which is grown in the garden. Fresh herbs, vegetables and fruit grow abundantly and are gathered daily. Wild salmon, Spring lamb, Bannow Bay oysters, Wexford mussels and beef all feature very strongly on the restaurants menu. Meetings: Marlfield also provides the ideal setting for small boardroom and think tank style meetings. The magnificent Print suite opens onto and overlooks the gardens and will seat 20 around its fine antique table. In addition the Drawing Room, Grand Hall and Library each provide endless possibilities as break out rooms for different uses. Small meetings who choose to come to Marlfield often tend to have the house to themselves during the day providing enormous privacy and the ideal environment for working in. Following and arduous day of brain storming our excellent cuisine and fine wine cellar can be enjoyed in the elegant but relaxing atmosphere of our long established conservatory restaurant. Hence even the requirements of today's most industrious and discerning of groups are met at Marlfield. Weddings: Marlfield House is a most beautiful house for small exclusive wedding celebrations not only because it is such a charming house but because it is exclusively yours on that day. Only a few very special weddings take place in Marlfield every year.
