County Waterford has a varied landscape with the mountain ranges of the north of the County, including the Knockmealdown Mountains and the Comeragh Mountains and to the south the dramatic coastline defines the landscape. King John’s Norman Castle in Dungarvan, which was founded in 1185 and Dungarvan County Museum.
The Ardmore Round Tower and Cathedral is the presumed burial site of Saintt Declan. Cappoquin House & Gardens is a fine example of an 18th century Georgian mansion. The Copper Coast European Geopark is one of the only one of its kind in Ireland and one of 17 in Europe.

There are a number of walking routes around County Waterford, including the Faithlegg Forest Walks, the Nire Valley, the Comeragh and Knockmealdown Mountains, Kilclooney and Colligan Woods, Rath Beag Loop in the Rathgormack area, An Coinigear Walk near Ring and Glenshelane Forest Trail. There are also cycling routes to explore, for example, from Cappoquin and Waterford.
